Late recognition

From Valeri Shelia

In the 90s the daughter of my grandmother‘s sister was brutally killed in Moscow by a nationalist group. Her only “mistake” was to have black hair. Her hair color set her apart from the majority of the  Russians. Skinheads decided that she was inferior to the “pure” Slav race and killed her. What inspired  me to create the movie, is to confirm that the racism is bigger than we think it is. The skin color, hair color or even foreign accents may put someone in danger in this world. This is why I decided to point out how slowly  we are moving forward to a better society.
